2. Product Liability

All Galore De Teddies products are handcrafted from high-quality yarn by skilled artisans. Despite our quality standards, we cannot guarantee that all items are suitable for every individual. Please note:

• Age suitability: Custom crochet teddies are intended for children aged 3 and over unless explicitly described otherwise. Teddies featuring small safety eyes, buttons, or embellishments are not suitable for children under 3 years due to choking hazard risk.
• Allergen notice: Our products are made using yarn and filling materials. We cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment during production. If you or the recipient has known sensitivities to textile fibres or filling materials, please contact us before ordering.
• Care instructions: Failure to follow the care instructions provided with each order (spot clean only; no machine washing; no tumble drying) may result in damage to the product. Galore De Teddies is not liable for damage caused by improper care or handling.
• Wear and tear: Handcrafted items are subject to normal wear and tear. Galore De Teddies is not liable for deterioration resulting from regular use beyond the expected lifespan of a handmade textile product.

3. Custom Design Disclaimer

Our custom crochet service involves interpreting customer-submitted drawings and translating them into three-dimensional crochet form. By submitting a design, you acknowledge and accept the following:

• Artistic interpretation: Every drawing is interpreted by a skilled crocheter. The finished teddy will represent the spirit and key features of your design but may not be a pixel-perfect reproduction. Differences in proportion, colour shading, and fine detail are inherent to handcrafted work.
• Colour accuracy: Yarn colours may vary slightly from what appears on your screen due to monitor calibration and available yarn stock. We will always match as closely as possible and will notify you if a direct match is unavailable.
• Design feasibility: We reserve the right to decline or modify designs that contain features that cannot be safely or practically reproduced in crochet (e.g. extremely fine detail, sharp structural elements, features that would pose a safety risk). We will always communicate this to you before proceeding.
• Third-party intellectual property: By submitting a design, you confirm that you own the rights to the image or have the authority to use it. Galore De Teddies is not liable for any intellectual property infringement arising from designs submitted by customers. Do not submit designs based on copyrighted characters without authorisation.
• Design approval: Once you have approved a design interpretation for production, changes cannot be made and the order cannot be cancelled unless the finished product is significantly different from your approved brief. See our Returns and Refunds Policy for full details.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, Galore De Teddies, its directors, employees, and makers shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from the use of our products or services.
• Personal injury or property damage caused by misuse of a product or failure to follow safety and care guidelines.
• Delays caused by courier partners, force majeure events, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Our liability is in all cases limited to the value of the order placed. Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or other applicable South African legislation.
